Written by: John Jerome The Ottawa Irish comming off losses to Kingston and Barrhaven were determined to avoid a third loss in their match against the Ottawa Indians RFC. The game began with Martin Herd kicking a penalty to put the Irish on the scoreboard. OIRC 3 - Indians 0. Some clever running from the Indians resulted with a touch down between the posts. No conversion. OIRC 3 - Indians 5. Strong forward pressure by the Irish resulted in a try by Stephen "Chunky" Lamb. Convert converted by Martin Herde. OIRC 10 - Indians 5. The Indians quickly retaliated with a long run and touch down. Conversion Made. The score at half was OIRC 10 - Indians 12. Immediatley after the second half began the Irish opened the flood gates resulting in several tries. #9 Brian Kelly-Mor touched down in the corner after a long run by Peter Barreiro. Conversion Missed. OIRC 15 - Indians 12. Then Tehran "T-Bone" Carroll using his power added a try. Conversion Missed. Soon after Robin McLachlan off loaded to Brian Kelly-Mor for his second of the day. Conversion made by Martin Herde. OIRC 27 - Indians 12. But the Indians put in a last effort and were able to score under the post and converted the conversion. OIRC 27 - Indians 19. Before the final whistle Stephen Lamb demonstrated why he is one of the best Props in Ontario, touching down for his second try of the day to put the game away for the Irish.
