The 2nds upset the Bytown Blues after being down by 4 tries in the first half. The Irish players played the entire game with 2 man down and were able to defeat the Bytown Blues squad of 26 who had unlimited subs. The Ottawa Irish started the game really strong with some hard runs, resulting in flanker Ryan Lethbridge scoring a try. But soon after the Bytown Blue were able to score 4 tries before the half time whistle.

At half time, the Irish players regrouped and came out looking like a different squad. The Ottawa Irish picked up the defence with huge defensive hits from Nick Mosher, Graham Stevens and Ryan Lethbridge in the forwards and Richie McQuallan, Matt Doyle and Jason Mohns in the backs. With this pressure the Irish were able to capitalize on the Blues mistakes. After a Blues turnover, EX-Blues full-back  Matt "Lanark" Doyle came crashing through the midfield and was able to break through both Blues centres to run in a 70m a try underneath the post. As of then the flood gates opened and Ottawa Irish Big Boys Graham Stevens and Chris Seyler began running with ball in hand and resulting in a try for Graham Stevens and 2 for Chris Seyler.

The final score of the game 29-20.
